Driver and trailer identification

Each driver registers with a unique login, which also works as an immobiliser. You always know who is driving a particular vehicle, and you rule out unauthorised access to the on-board computer or the truck. Thanks to the trailer identification, you also know which trailer is hooked up to which truck.

Navigation

The smartest route to your destination? This is worked out by the built-in navigation system. The destination is automatically uploaded from the journey sheet, or can be input by the driver himself via the convenient touchscreen. Your driver is relaxed and gets to the destination faster, and you save money.

Task planning and package logistics

Less paper and fast, clear communication? It is possible. The driver receives his journey assignments on the CarCube. Contact data of the consignee, as well as the route to be followed are transmitted automatically. Information about the packages to be delivered can also be linked to the journey assignment. Your driver has a manageable view of all the data on the screen of his CarCube and your planners know the status of a given job at any time. A question path guides the driver when drawing up his timesheets and reporting on the jobs done. The CarCube can be expanded by peripherals such as a barcode scanner, a terminal for digital signature by the consignee or a printer.

Communication

Your drivers are always accessible and you are accessible for your drivers. Planner and driver can exchange text messages via GPRS. Sometimes, personal contact is essential, and this can be done safely with the hands-free phone. At the same time, a centrally-managed contacts list is used.

Journey time assistance

How to avoid penalties: The CarCube's driving hours assistance was developed to comply with EU Regulation 561/06 on driving hours and rest periods. Audiovisual signals warn the driver when the maximum permissible driving time is approaching. The planning department always has an up-to-date overview of all the time driven and the driving time still available.

Digital readout

Reading the drivercards out from the digital tachograph. An expensive waste of time? It doesn't have to be like that. A card reader can be connected to the CarCube, which sends the information stored on the drivercard via the on-board computer to your back-office applications.

Remote readout! So you don't need to wait any more for your payroll administration and reporting until the drivers drop into the office.

CANbus link

Fuel consumption, speed, engine revs., braking, cruise control, engine temperature; this is just a selection of the parameters or FMS data that you can now analyse by means of the CarCube's CANbus linkage. Accurate recording of fuel consumption means more accurate cost calculation and billing. Particularly for efficient planning of servicing, analysis of engine management data can be a convenient aid. If something occasionally goes wrong, such information can be useful for warranty and insurance purposes.
